Arran High School Ski Trip

Once again we have had a very successful winter sports trip to Lillehammer in Norway over the New Year period. The group consisted of 16 pupils and 2 members of staff. The ski resort of Halfjell was outstanding and the standard of ski instruction was excellent. All the pupils were able to parallel turn and were very fluent and controlled skiers by the end of the trip.

The Apres Ski activities were excellent as always with highlights that included trips to the Olympic bobsleigh track and a National Ice Hockey game.

Remembrance Day

The short act of remembrance was led by the Mrs Jean Hunter with Fr N Colford and Alan Milligan of the Scottish Sub-Mariners Association. Music was supplied by M Beatan and M Hamill.   L Ashley played the Last Post and R Kerr piped the invited guests in and out. Poems were read by J McNeish and R Morrison. The contribution of all those involved and the interested and respectful attention of staff and pupils made it a moving and meaningful assembly.
