Today we had a visit from Grant Downie OBE (Consultant in Medical & Performance Solutions for Elite Sport & Industry). His distinguished career spans over 32 years at the heart of professional football & elite sport. He talked to our School of Sport Students & Senior Students.

We had a great end to Children’s Mental Health Week. Friday was Compliment Day. Staff and students focused on the strengths and positives of others. What a powerful way to support the mental health of people around you. We also had Tea & Talk sessions.

Halloween Party 2019

Halloween Tickets now on sale via Parent Pay. The Halloween Party will take place on Thursday 31st October 7pm – 9.30pm. Party food and buses home will be provided. £3 per ticket. Haunted Hide & Seek, Best Dressed Costume Competition and many more games.

National Champion

Huge congratulations from everyone at the school to Louie Urquhart Dixon on winning the CTT (Cycling Time Trials) National Junior Road Cycling TT Champs and the Road Cycling Hill climb at Cumbrae last Sunday. AHS Golf Competition

Yesterday saw 4 students take part in he Arran High School First Minister’s Trophy Golf Competition at Lamlash Golf Course. K McNicol with the winning round. He will receive the trophy at the Annual Awards Ceremony which will take place in August
